Thanks for your input. Yes, you're correct, it's blue and has been filled in with the correct ATF. I'm thinking if it's not the torque converter that's playing but not sure how you can check the torque converter. The gearbox doesn't have any errors at all which is very odd.

I've been using only BP premium, never ever regular Diesel and never drive it low on fuel. The fuel filter has been changed about 3k miles ago. I'll switch to Shell to see if it improves. I've read somewhere about the fuel pressure regulator.

Hi all, Is the RPM fluctuation normal, on a W212 2012? When the car is idle the RPM fluctuates around 100 up and down, while driving no fluctuations at all but when steady it does even in P / D / R. Any help is highly appreciated it. Thanks

Wow. I'm not even near that at all. I've never seen more than 37MPG on mine. Is your remap or any modifications done? Mine is stock but doesn't seem it will ever get that. I'm thinking if there's anything wrong or it's just normal. I'll keep you all updated, I'll take out for a spin on cruise...

Well in this instance I'd say yes you're right. However, the others seem to report they're doing between 50 - 55MPG on motorway, and never seen more than 37 on mine on a 50 mile journey
