I had my 2017 C220d Sport Premium serviced yesterday (B2) and was told that as a part of this they had “updated the ECU”. Any idea what this actually means? Should I notice any difference in how the car runs? Thanks

Thanks all - I have done around 150 miles since the pad change and hoped they would bed in, but it sounds from your responses that they need bleeding so I will take it back to the garage tomorrow.

Thanks all. Definitely going through my insurance company now. The £300 excess hurts and I’m sure the premium increase will hurt even more, but after reading these comments (specially Richard’s) it sounds like a complicated job. Insurance company have been great so far!!

A stone has gone straight through my headlight lens creating a hole about 8cm in diameter . Are the headlights on a c220 sealed units or can the lens be replaced? And, most importantly, is this likely to be an insurance job?? Would mobilo be of any assistance? Grateful for any advice.

Had my 2017 c220d for 3 months now and agree entirely with the OP....it’s the most uncomfortable ride I’ve ever known, particularly over bumpy roads. Tyres are set at 35 as per fuel cap but I still have little confidence in the handling, especially in the wet.
