That's the wrong part, only fits the W206, W177 facelift You need A0008170608, check post 1.

No need for any trim tool. Just open the bonnet and pinch the tabs on the back of the existing badge and push it will pop up. Then push the new one in and it will click into place.

There are a couple of versions out there. The part from the W206/Facelift W177 has two prongs on the back which needed to be cut off hence the tape. It's also slightly smaller. This is A0008170708 The badge from the W223 S class is a perfect fit, same size as the original star and same fixing...

Just fitted this on my C63 Final Edition. Straight swap out for the star with the same spring clip fixing.

Alpina B3 is the best wagon on sale by a mile. Not compromised like the M3 T with daft seats, goofy grill and twitchy chassis. And 12 month wait followed by a good dose of depreciation. I won't even comment on the S206 C63 other than its a lardy, crap sounding mistake of epic proportions.

Re the C63 S Final, I don't think it will be collectible, it's not special enough without any engine, suspensions, weight saving upgrades etc. Just matt paint and decals. But it is the last and a keeper so I'm going to address its weaknesses whilst keeping it looking totally original. So far...

Yes, all on the house, sanctioned by MBUK allegedly. Brooklands also offered me some mix and match, e.g. swap the exhaust tips to black but leave the window trims as might be messy to remove.

I deleted the stripes on my 2016 First Edition C63. Was minded to do the same again but quite liked the symmetry with the interior where there's plenty of yellow too. Plus keeping it original for a limited car.

After a bit of debate, my supplying dealer, Brooklands, offered to swap out all the silver parts for the Black Pack ones. In the end, I decided to leave it as delivered, there's so much silver on the car anyway with wheels, front grille, door handles and badges that it worked for me.

No it wasn't necessary as the ceramics are the same size as the steels so no change, just less weight, fade and dust :)

I've decided to keep mine stealth so it's a Final Ed with no external mods apart from the OEM CCB's. Under the skin it will have the Brabus power kit and upgraded sound (this hasn't been fitted yet, just planned). Happy to meet up for a listen when complete. Also talking to Sandown and...

Not feeling same as you, it's not a perfect fit, a bit small and leaves a ring around the outside, need the grommets sanding off, 3m tape...
