Picked this 240 up last week for my wife, not seen this colour before but think it looks stunning

I have just done a vin check and it comes back with an engine number of 272940 30 779750. this is a clk 280 , could somebody please tell me if this is a safe engine or does it fall into the category of those that have the problems. Many thanks
