if u look at the cameras they use to film planet earth they have 720P plastered accross the side of them lol. also pioneer do a "Pro" panel so to speak as in without a tuner but NEC have always had a good name and i cannot knock them

dont get me wrong they make a good product and control system but the picture on the Loewe TV's is miles better maybe im biased as its what we choose to install but i have seen both side by side and the loewe is a better picture. imo anyway

dont look at 1080P as a nessisty as its not really needed at that screen size spend the money on a Good 720P TV as everything is recorded in that anyway sharp panels are good (they supply for B&O and may other brands) however i dont think id buy one of their TV's take a look at Panasonics LCD...

well said. The panasonics are good televisions and as you quite rightly said there are 720P plasmas out there topping all the reviews and its because there isnt a surface area big enough to take advantage of all the extra dots untill about the 50" mark. having said that there are alot of LCD...

contrast ratios are nothing to go by when buying a TV as its all made up there is no governing body or industry standard as such to mesure it by so manufactures make up there own way for example a new panasonic screen is boasting a 1,000,000:1 contract ratio which is compleate rubish lol black...

B&O are poo lol the screens are not all that and are way over priced Loewe screens by far excede them in picture quality but they still look crap next to the pioneers

you can already get HD for free through Freesat if you TV has an intagrated sat tuner you can just hook this up to your sky dish and lock onto Astra 2D satilite and u can recieve bbc HD and ITV and C4 HD (comming end march early april)
