The problem is I can't hold the window button down because the motor will not cut out when it gets to the top or bottom and is going to strip the window gearing.

I have a problem with my passenger side window. The cog on the winder mechanism snapped so I replaced the wonder mechanism. Now when I open or close the window it doesn't auto stop and therefore starts to jump the cog. It also will not auto stop if you put downward pressure as it's winding up...
