    Making Leather Not Shiny...

Recently done my own in preparation for sale and because it needed it. Pears Amber soap (£1.50 for two bars, cheaper elsewhere), soft toothbrush and a cloth. Little water and work it in then wipe clean. Genuinely couldn’t believe the results with a light going over. Always worth a try first...

    W211 E220 Suspension noises - Top Mount ?

Noises you describe were similar on my w219… upper and lower ball joints as well as a lower arm cured it. Also recently had some slow speed noise on the front left - wheel bearing was ok but once you really (really!) pulled on the tie rod there was the movement, so far new inner and outer has...

    Seized caliper

As far as I’m aware (happily corrected!) if you buy from MB they’ll be new and they only want your fronts back - I would gather from that they’re then sent back to brembo direct to remanufacture. There were brembo branded refurbs available before, just not stocked at the minute that I could...

    Mercedes Specialists NI?

Can’t blame you there! Lol Hopefully you get sorted and Murray is the place 👍🏼

    Mercedes Specialists NI?

Similar experiences with them to be honest. Had a very good indie lined up in Portadown but has recently decided to quit the business apparently 🤦‍♂️. He had gave me a number of someone in a similar area if it’s of use? Otherwise the guys at nutts corner have been recommended before but I...

    Cls 2010 suspension issues

W219 cls - normally driven in dynamic 1 and once parked and locked it will drop air and lower it to as you say 2 fingers or so. On comfort it would probably be about 4 of a gap to start with. All this is totally normal for mine. Is the button function as it should and raising/lowering between...

    Seized caliper

If you’re happy to take the chance a rebuild isn’t that difficult and is pretty cheap in the end (done bikes and cars over the years with no issue and I’m not trained!). Thought I’d chip in as similar position - replacing lines then discs and pads on the rear of the cls 500 - 3 out of 4...

    CLS W219 Dash Console Access

Thanks, pretty much where i got to by the sounds of it...gives just enough access to feed cables through gaps to the command console area, and as you describe that's how the existing power cable has been routed to the parrot via drivers side. :( The parrot control unit seems to be in a cavity...

    CLS W219 Dash Console Access

Had a search through and couldn't find anything that seems to help! Have a Parrot hands free that was retro fitted to the car at some point; seems to be a pretty well done install apart from running the screen cable behind the steering wheel and wedged against the A pillar! Due to this, the...

(Another) New Owner from Northern Ireland!

Thanks Shaun, I’m the other side of Belfast but aware of them for anything big...used to drive past them all the time on the way to my brothers and seen the line of Mercs up the footpath! Lol Always made me think they knew what they were doing. Was maybe looking about for someone closer for...

    Fitness tracker

If you’re happy with the current Garmin and reluctant to spend the cash in an all in one upgrade watch...I heard good things for the Moov tracker. Fairly basic but told the data provided is pretty good for the price - plus it has strava options. One for thought as a cheaper extra to the...

Snow foam Lance for titan power washer

Great link! Thought by looking at mine yesterday (to consider purchasing one) that it was a lavor but unsure it was long enough...will def be a black & decker needed! Thanks :D

    What would you do?

Ahh karma...advise you to buy two, go out to the car and checked after a pressure warning and an air top up last night - there’s a split in the sidewall AND staples in the tread :wallbash: think those gave the puncture reading and a lucky spot on the split. Contrary to what I said I’m trying to...

I survived a Keyless relay theft attempt...

I did mean proximity alarms on the car itself  lol but to be fair depending on your drive and setup and you guys have said - rigged to the house system has double benefits of home and vehicle coverage I guess. Probably a whole lot cheaper too!

When an E55K is worth more thank the asking price.

I’d happily sit in the passenger seat with her driving...or even the drivers seat

I survived a Keyless relay theft attempt...

Shocking to read but glad the outcome was (somewhat) positive! With everything you’ve described I’d say basics might be best, if cumbersome - Diskloks, bollard. One I looked into many years ago was proximity sensors. If you’re in a private driveway rather than the street they may be worth it...

    What would you do?

Second that - I prefer to change both tyres on an axle if I can. If you’re keeping the same type then it’s useful to have a great condition spare (or as said, could make money back if you wanted to pass it on).

    Diagnostic scanner

If the v1 does what you need it to do, and most importantly matches your budget, then it’s a winner. Fingers crossed it does the job for you ;) Minor suggestion for the forum - if it does work for you, you could add -w210 to the thread title and anyone searching later will find it straight...

    Diagnostic scanner

Fully understand the price element, I was the same but luckily v2 was good for me. The pdfs I had checked before for the v1 you linked only shows the 210 on the oil light, the engine diagnostics pdf doesn’t list the 210 e-class for compatibility...double check to be sure I didn’t miss...
