Currently using my local body shops 4" DA compounding pads but they seem too firm ie: small contact area + little 'give'. Any recommendations guys?

If your car is a dark colour I recommend Poorboys Black hole. Does a great job of hiding chips, swirls etc. Just top it with a decent wax and it normally lasts a couple of months washing yourself with decent shampoo. Relatively inexpensive compared to other 'touch up' methods.

Has anybody else had problems with their wiper blades off a 2003-W203 C class ??? I replaced the blades with genuine Mercedes Aero flat blades a few weeks back. The passenger side never cleared properly leaving a big area un cleared. Took them back to MB who replaced them with new. Same problem...

Blue smoke is usually engine oil. It could be valve stem seals, you can check by seeing if it smokes on overrun. Stick it in second and drive at high revs for a bit then take your foot off the accelerator. Normally smokes blue as the revs drop.

The wing mirrors on my W203 are heated and auto dimming. Just too expensive to replace with the same type. Can I replace these with just heated mirrors? The reason I ask is that on the back of the auto dimming mirrors they have a plug with 3 wires in that connect to the unit, and a separate...

Just found out the glass has not de-laminated as I though. It's auto dimming ....... Now starts abother search .....:(

Has anyone replaced their wing mirror glass with one of the many Ebay numbers out there? I need to replace both on my W203 as one has de-laminated and the other is cold. The adverts seem pretty good value ... which causes me concern. Any comments?

The head unit in my W203 is the pre 2004 version (audio 30 I think?) single din. Would I be able to fit one of the 'new style post 2004' double din units into the existing hole?

Autoglym Engine and machine cleaner is the stuff. Spray it on and use a paint brush to get in the dirty bits. Rinse of with a hose pipe nozzle on a VERY fine spray. Keep brushing as you rinse to remove excess oil dirt etc. Just minimises water ingress into areas you dont want it. I wouldn't...
