hmmm.......its pretty much the spec I was looking for :( It was doing 25k a year so must have been maintained? Why on earth would someone sell a car without service history - they must have had it?!?

Yeah, fees for a £12500 car are £350 so fees of about £400 and compulsory delivery charge of £1/m (min £120). Plus the 'bidder fee' for the company I was going through. All in about £1k on top of the end price. Easy to get carried away at auction!

It had full merc history on the online database - last serviced 1k ago.

Got to offset the price with the risk - there were very few details in the listing. No report on engine health, clutch etc (I am kicking myself for not going higher though!)

Outbid (by £200!) I should have pushed for £14k...but you never know what other people will go to. Bugger. and double bugger at missing the other one for £12k!!
