2011 E350 CDI Failed Engine Management Module

I have a 2011 E350 Cdi Coupe with FMBSH and 66K miles. It lost power approaching traffic lights and wouldn't start but all lights show when you start. There was no warning before this. I called Mobilo and the MB technician this morning diagnosed 9 current failed components which he said was...

    CLS 63 steering wheel into a 55

Now thats interesting b1g1an. I'd read elsewhere that the 3 spoke wheel from newer/ post 2008 CLSs will not for earlier models like. Is the OK button the only way to identify the right wheel. Are they available on ebay? I imagine this will need a new airbag.

    Aquaplaning CLS

Update Agree with all opinions on the Rainsport. Works wonders on the Volvo over all roads and in all conditions. Post alignment and geometry adjustments I drove the CLS in the rain this morning over the same routes as in my thread starter. Now that's the wet weather driving I am normally used...

    Massaging seats

I am aware that Dynamic Seats were available (though rare) as option on the W219 CLS. Retro fits will be stratospherically expensive. Has anyone come across a kit or an alternative to the MB option? I have a stand alone plug in vibranting seat but it just shivers and shakes and is not up...

    Aquaplaning CLS

Apologies for the multiple entries above. I did it on my mobile phone and I couldn't delete the entries though I tried. Didn't realise it when I changed the Volvo's tyres 2 month ago but the Uniroyal Rainsport 3 proved their worth this week in the wet weather. Brilliant in town and on the...

    Aquaplaning CLS

Thanks very much everyone. Your comments have been very helpful. Though I knew the tyre treads were fine and the tyres fitted the right way round (and the car just passed its MOT) I went to a tyre specialist to confirm this. He confirmed that the tyres were properly fitted and good but that...

    Aquaplaning CLS

I am 3 months into owning a 2005 CLS 320 cdi with FSH and now 100k miles. It has 18 inch staggered wheels on good Dunlops. What's not to like. Lovely options and smooth power delivery in a straight line and round long curves. Stable at motorway speeds and economy is reasonable. No apparent...

The king is dead, long live the king!

I only popped into the dealership for a brochure..... Hehe...story of my life! Very nice car. Same spec I would have gone for but with Comand. Whats this Becker pilot thing? That good?

    Cheapest E55 ever??

You'd probably get caught after spinning it round to change direction as you'd have problems changing quickly from reverse to drive with that dodgy gearbox...

Koreans copy the SL but as usual, get it wrong

It doesn't look too bad though at first sight. Need to see more pics before I conclude either way. I am highly unlikely to buy one though....

    209 200 CLK 05 facelift or not?

I'm surprised you've come across an 05 plate CLK thats pre facelift. The facelift came on the 04 plate CLKs such that by 54/ 05 Reg they should all be facelift. However you do find some stragglers that hung around dealerships unsold (uncommon for a Mercedes). One major difference I identified...

    Good to be back

Thanks for creating that warm feeling everyone. It is genuinely good to be in good company. Got some quotes from Stealerships round the M25 area for my next service B. (I'm back in Kent). About £250 difference between the cheapest and the dearest. Methinks its time to find a good independent...

    Good to be back

Been off the forum for a little while but really good to be back. Whats been happening and whats new? Nice to see new cars and acquisitions. Just been following BPSorrell's CLS story. Also good to see the same names (even if I've never met them) and the same cars though some have...

    At last!! CLS for me!

Hearty Congrats. Nice car with spec. Much prefer your laurel gloss wood and well done for getting memory seats. Not a common feature. Quite funny you're up late a night or 2 before picking up a new car. I do the same. My wife says she recognizes the signs. Don't know what she means. 1. Isn't...

    For all you 123 lovers

Oh man. I may sound ancient but what mouth watering pictures. Growing up the Mercedes W123 CE was the first Mercedes I fell in love with. Classic 80s styling down to the Accesories. The electric seat buttons in Pic 6 and the silver plated stereo in Pic 10. Reminiscent of the stereo I fell in...
