Changed both front brake hoses and this cured the problem. Very easy fix, well pleased!

Thanks for the suggestion. The spring seems to working correctly. The fault seems to be related to temperature, I am going to investigate a few suggestions and post again when I have further news.

Not sure about that, guess there must be a vent pipe somewhere. The filler cap is solid.

The AA mechanic reported no error codes, but this may have been the type of scanner he was using.
