    Apologies, VIN info

All great news peeps, so I have popped my application into the post office, whom said they send all data overnight. Hopefully a nice little repayment as well! Who knows, the moon also might be made of cheese.

    Apologies, VIN info

Thanks Optimus, I love it, really do. Wife not fully bought into it, as I bought it blind drunk on an auction site, but I don’t think I’ll ever sell it.

    Apologies, VIN info

Sorry Optimus, XAU361Y Just saw Registered 05 Jan 1983, so I think I have to wait until next year, as, iirc, it has to be on 1/1/83 or before to be accepted, but happy to be wrong here, obvs! Thanks all btw.

    Apologies, VIN info

Ah, I was told you could, which is probably my mistake. OK, will pop to the local dealers and ask them to provide some proof to the gov. Cheers

Hi guys, I've been trying to get the build date on my 1983 230CE - I am sure it is Dec 1982, which would render it tax free this year, but I cna't find the info out anywhere. I've tried all the usual VIN Decoders but nothing. Any ideas? WDB12324322017535 Thanks in advance for any assistace...

Mercedes Bans 14" Steels (new tyres) and 15" Rials (good older tyres) W115/W123

Hi, After fitting some larger modern classic alloys to my 230CE, I have decided I love them, and thus to put up the original 14" Steelies with new Bridgestone 195/70/14 and some 15" Rials with older Fulda 205/55/15 on them. Older wheels need a scrub up, rials wre sandblasted and undercoated...

W123 Coupe - How to replace vertical interior seals between front / rear window?

Can someone please explain/show/help a man chimp of little brain how to do this please? I have the seals, took me a while to get them, and I am now slightly concerned my thick fingers and Neanderthal finesse may screw it up. Water has been ingested all winter due to them both disappearing.

W123 230CE front hub's differ from the rear

I do understand and I must admit, I struggled for a long time before doing it, and I know it's not going to be to everyone's taste, but the little boy inside me loves them.

W123 230CE front hub's differ from the rear

Ended up with 15mm spacers, with the correct bolts.

W123 230CE front hub's differ from the rear

I thought about this, so have bought 15mm and 20mm spacers, and we'll see if that works. Can send the wrong ones back, so that's all good. I thought the hubs looked good from all of the images I researched, just wanted to make it crystal from here. Thanks OP.

    W123 Coupe sacrilege

Well an update was the mechanic I use drove off the ramp with the front door opened, and it's been 7 months arguing with insurance about fixing it. Finally settled and she's being fixed, just updating the wheels too.
