Thanks guys for your input. Heres the diagram supplied by my Merc experts. They said its part 20 (the peg) and its costs £35. Now, they may be wrong?

They are similar design if, not exactly the same. I've sent Google to overtime and not found anything. It is a crazy sum for such a little thing but, a working luggage cover is a pretty good idea to hide your goodies in the boot. I'll keep looking but, I might just have to bite the bullet. If...
