    500SL holding in gear

    From cold, my 1991 500SL tends to hold in gear. Changes are more jerky and pronounced. After a fair few miles, all becomes well. I have been told that this is a feature of the car, and is necesarry for warming the engine more quickly. Is this bull or not? Have read somewhere that it could...

    '91 500SL Cam chain

    Currently looking into buying a 1991 500SL. Does anyone know at what intervals the cam chain is to be replaced? I am led to believe that 100,000 miles is correct. Roughly how much would you expect to pay for the job to be carried out? Cheers in advance. Olly
