3K miles in, and everything still good. By now previous fixes had drifted away. Fuel consumption on a run is better by 3 - 4 MPG. The car feels very refined now, I love it!

The best I have every had on a run is 40mpg in the 350 cdi s coupe. 45 may be achievable if very careful on acceleration, and mindful of max speed. I had a cls 320 cdi, which was rarely above 38. I am a spirited driver, cruising at typically 80 90 (when on the autobahn).

Regarding the noise issues, I got an email from my dealer saying they just heard from mercedes that "they will update the s/w, and rewrite the injector classification codes, and that this should be a long term resolution." Booked in for monday....fingers crossed!
