Front passenger side quarter took impact from a minibus, so panels crumpled when damaged and steering was broken. Damage to bumper. Possibly other stuff, but that’s what was visible. No airbag deployment though. You wouldn’t know looking at it in those photos.

Aaaaaw man! That properly sucks! I don’t know about tech, but I saw it had the aux option. Asked on here for some advice and a few days later I had music streaming crystal clear from my iPhone.

Oh no. I don’t know the solution to that other than a replacement head unit that does Apple CarPlay etc

Get one of the Bluetooth adapters if you have the auxiliary port. They are very cheap and work brilliantly

I can certainly say, after receiving a Bluetooth device for auxiliary port, that it works superbly and plays all of the music from my iPhone with excellent clarity and volume! Thank you for the advice!

Also, I’ve been really surprised by the quality and capability of the sound system in my E. No idea if it was upgraded or not, but I’m expecting it to work well when the Bluetooth thing arrives…

Well, I’ve got a Bluetooth thingy arriving shortly and I intend to connect it to my iPhone which is loaded with tunes! I will let you know how it goes, because until yesterday I didn’t know such a thing existed!

I’m back again 🙄 Not sure if anyone will know this, but my W211 had the auxiliary input port in the glove box. Looks like a headphone jack type of thing. My question is… Does anyone know what kind of device you plug into it for playing music and what cable might be needed?

They were still cleaning it at the time, but tomorrow I’m going out to a country house and if the weather is OK it’s going to make a nice backdrop for a new photo 🙌🏻
