Not true.... Google EGR. The EGR valve is closed when the engine is starting up. During idle and at low speeds, only a small amount of power is required, and therefore only a small amount of oxygen, so the valve gradually opens – it can be up to 90% open at idle.

Last time they shut it, it had no noticeable effect below Hindhead....and Horndean is a fair way south of that. Might not be so next time of course!!!

Get everything in writing and you will be fine......many used dealers do pretty much all of their business like that. Insurance can be an issue though.

Mines was about 460 horses and just over 600nm. My much played with Mitsubishi GTO TT converted to RWD and rear wheel steering deleted......good fun to drive.....but chavvy to look at!!! Obviously it could overcome the tyres........but most cars can if driven too hard in the wrong conditions.

Not me if its a good car otherwise....tyres can easily be changed..and lots of people...even main dealers, put cheaper tyres on when they know they will sell it soon. Expensive tyres don't add their cost to the value of a used car. Might be a haggling point...but that's all.
