Read the codes. It only shows a pending fault of exhaust pressure too high P0473. Going to check the turbo spins ok

Yes the recon turbo came with a new actuator attached

yes it is the OM642. I only have one of the bluetooth odb adapters and the torque app. Any chance of that being able to get the code? Not used it on this car before

It could still be chromed even if it is stainless. Stick a magnet on it if it doesn't stick or sticks weakly then its stainless. Stainless will stratch a lot easier than chrome so try a small area to see. If after all that it is chrome take it to a chrome shop who will strip the old chrome off...
