In that case, soapy water and pressure test it instead of vacuum.

    the watch corp

Hugo boss is a fashion brand. They don't make watches, they put their name on watches and it will arrive in wrap as it protects the finish. A new battery will fix it. I would not bother sending it in for warranty, it will sit for months and the cost of shipping will exceed the cost of a battery...

    Nice 560 SEC - 69k miles

Just the one, but it's a CL65. I did the heater box reseal on the 560SEC when I replaced the old cracked dash with a new one. It's a big job and the car when I bought it was probably not worth it, had it not been for it being a Euro car with the 300hp motor.

    A/C re-gassed again.

You probably turn your ac off during the winter which causes the seals to dry out and the system to leak. But think about the 50 pence you saved at the pump.

C123 230E Battery drain and charging problems

I've not read everything but have you tried pulling fuses? if the battery drains overnight you have a short on a circuit. You can connect a test light between the battery and the terminal and if the light is on, pull fuses with the ignition off until the light goes out and you'll know which...

approved used means whatever they decide it to mean. It's just marketing words.

Looking good, Under no circumstances should you replace the under bonnet insulation. That's got at least another 10 years / 100,000 miles on it.

    To wax or not?

Super resin polish is a polish. It will remove fine scratches. Add a layer of wax to protect the paint after.

Do we still have engine snobbery?

General rule 4 cylinders are economic 6 cylinders are smooth 8 cylinders make a lot of torque 12 cylinders are the best of both worlds if you can afford the running costs. As far as snobbery? Buy what you like. Even call it an AMG. Nobody gives a sh*t what you drive and you shouldn't give a...

    ABC fluid levels

The accumulators are nitrogen filled membranes. If the gas leaks, the level will drop as the fluid fills the space the nitrogen used and you'll feel more bumps. You might or might not see the red abc warning as you go over bumps

    Oh rats

You would have known if I did when you heard the distant screams of what sounded like a 6 year old girl, coming from the west.

    Oh rats

This was an XJS parked in the back of my shop. Some manufacturers used peanut oil to run copper wiring through insulation. They made quite a nest. I also found shedded snake skin so there must have been a real party going on.

    2002 stage 2 SL55 or 2015 S1 Audi S4

The one to avoid is the SL350 with the V6 engine. Why? Because everybody knows that a V12 is twice as reliable as a V6. 2x Cylinders = 2x Reliability

    Cleaning silver grey seat belts

Pull them all they way out and shut the door on them. The pressure wash them when you wash the outside, making sure the buckle is still in the car

W126's are tough as old boots.

It was a short wheelbase car so either an M103 300SE or a OM603 diesel 350SD. He might have gotten away if he was in a 560SEL.

    2002 stage 2 SL55 or 2015 S1 Audi S4

I'm familiar with V12 Jags (currently own 4) and their maintenance issues. I also own an SL55. The SL55 will be Toyota reliable by comparison. You should have no problems with parts availability given that the oldest SL will be about a decade newer than the newest XJS, and many parts are shared...
