    Various W108 bits

Hi guys, Mid-way through putting my W108 280SE 3.5 back together and I'm after a few bits. - Fuel gauge sender - Heater slides - Centre dash wood trim (with the stereo hole - mine's been butchered). - Driver's side carpet in black - Front door rubbers (need them to be new or in VGC)...

    18x8.5 Mandrus Emils - London £350

They were on a W126 before, but think they went on a W202 for a short spell. You're welcome to try them on if you'd like. And thanks! It was a fun thing. I now have a W108, which demonstrates that there's nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes Benz!

    18x8.5 Mandrus Emils - London £350

Hi guys, not sure about bolt size but Mandrus was a brand built for Mercedes so whatever's normal (never been asked that before). Tyres are indeed Uniroyal Rainsport 2s (235/40/18) and they're ET32.

    18x8.5 Mandrus Emils - London £350

Hi all, I have these 18x8.5 Mandrus Emils for sale with three good tyres (one's legal, but has inside wear). They could do with a refurb, but they're a good set of cheap winters. £350, collection only from North London (N6).

Crumbs. This looks fantastic, Jay. Fine work. And it's given me plenty of inspiration!

    A famous (and member's) W123 560 conversion

Oh, and if someone does buy it, please can you send me the rusty M on the grill...? I forgot to take it off when I sold it!

    A famous (and member's) W123 560 conversion

I hear it's actually had a bit of work since we parted ways, though I've not seen it in the metal to examine (one of the shortcomings of leaving the world of classic cars). In other news, I have a new project. There's a three-pointed star on the bonnet. Hurrah! Hope you're well by the way, Jay!

Well, I don't think the plates are that bad at all... Thanks for the kind words, though. It was a fun thing.

    W123 560 Ex Matt Jones

You should have done! I wonder who ends up with it. And how much they pay for it... Made that coffee table yet, Jay?

    W123 560 Ex Matt Jones

Nope, nobody should be impressed - it's my name. I wasn't able to come up with anything as witty or cryptic as camerafodder or MOR8A so I use it to log in to forums, too. Glad you like the plates, neilrr. Onanism is a hobby of mine.

Sorry - no idea why everything's bold and underlined.

    5x112 17-Inch Lorinser Turbos

Advertising on behalf of a colleague. He says: '4 Lorinser Turbine wheels, one with slight kerb rash. Could do with a bit of a clean/polish but otherwise good. Fitted with 4 Vredestein 235/45 17s, all have reasonable tread. PCD is 5x112 (Mercedes) but they've been on my VW T25. Very good...

    1000 SEC Convertible Spotted

So, there I was nipping up to the local Tesco and I saw this beast - replete with snow chains - parking up. I've never heard of a 1000 SEC, but here it is! I got chatting to the bloke and he claims to have quite a collection, including a W123 500 SEC rag-top. He's owned this one from new...

    My W123 560E Project

The widest I fitted was 10J, and with stretched tyres I had bags of room. If you rolled the arches and ran stretch I wager 15x12 rears would be possible. Here are the 10s: Stretch is a mug's game, though. You go through tyres constantly. Oh, have some video of it. Apologies for the AWFUL...

    My W123 560E Project

Hi guys, Sorry - the tyres have long since sold. In other news, I visited my trimmer's this morning - D:Class. Apologies for the dreadful pics. Doorcards: And the fronts - I got the door pocket inners trimmed, too: It's original Mercedes material, just flipped so the lines are at 45...

    My W123 560E Project

Thanks for the interest, chaps. Nope, it didn't sell - I got it all fixed (driveshafts, mixture screw, mega-flushed the auto 'box) then drove it a bit, loved it again and have decided to re-trim it. I'm going for Harris Tweed doorcards (dark grey herringbone) and finally sorting the stereo out...
