That looks stunning, Mercedes have really improved the look of the SL (IMO), especially with the new front and de-chromed accents. Congratulations :thumb:

If you are a low mileage weekend driver, go SL65. It will be an occasion every time you go for a drive, a very special car and very rare too.

Lots of great cars at MB world today (918 Spyder was cool), but the silver SL (last photo) was lovely, Peter's CL (pic 4) looked great and the E55 AMG parked next to my SL (up for sale) looked mint.

Great to meet some of you today, a lovely morning for a drive and always a pleasure to meet some like minded petrol heads. The cars at the meet were all excellent examples in fantastic condition, great to see how well these cars age.

I've just replaced the original tyres, not because they were worn, but the rubber was old and you could feel flat spots when driving. I put the same Bridgestone RE50A as the car had from the factory.

That's the plan, keep the miles down. I was going to ask MB World if they would like it as an exhibit, there's not many SL65s and MB will launch their facelift SL this year. Anyone know the curator?

As a newbie SL owner, does anyone know what the performance pack option was on the 2006 SL65 AMG? I have the original spec sheet and performance pack is listed separately to the de-restrict option.

Does anyone know how to replace the bulb of the interior lights housed in the interior rear view mirror?

S63 coupe, looks great, the interior finish is fab too. Nice problem to have, what to spend your £100K on. The V12 is a very special thing to drive, have you tried back to back V8 vs V12?
