    Just had mine replaced on 02 E240 Elegance - £318 for the part, no labour charge (only had the car 4 weeks from non-franchised garage). Someone had suggested it might be the heatshield, but it wasn't...

    Independent Merc - South Wales ?

    I have used B&R Garages in Tremorfa for a previous BMW and current C200, though I think they might have only recently (past couple of years) taken on Mercedes as an indy. Certainly very good on the BMW, good service for me in the past.
