At the other end of the scale I can almost get 8 mpg when on the track in my 190 3.6... however in my 190 2.5-15V I can get 11 mpg when on track. Ho-Hum.

With enough time and ingenuity ( Enginuity? ) you can do anything you like . I had a C36 engine put into a 2.6 Auto 190 and mated it to a Getrag . It transformed it completely. Good Luck .

And not leaving the handbrake on once you come off the track for this will warp the rear discs .

:doh::wallbash: You may find that they fade you into a wall. A combination of track pads AND fluid is a must . Track pads have a backing on them that stops the heat transfer into the fluid . I use AP Racing 660 fluid . Make sure you purge ALL your old fluid . Then you need to bed in...

SLK 55 calipers are the top upgrade but will need slight machining to make them fit . I think that a lot of people underestimate just how good a set of properly maintained M-B brakes are . A caliper rebuild kit , EBC greenstuff pads and high temp fluid is probably all you will need in reality .

Yes , I was told that this is possible by the technical director of the mercedes-benz-club , of course if you want more power then an aftermarket ecu is the way to go . :thumb:
