I did without any problems.

That's one of my concerns about selling them but storage space is becoming an issue. The car is almost four years old now and I would like to keep it for several years more so whilst resale value isn't an immediate worry it is something that I am considering.

I've fitted 16" winter wheels and tyres to my E280 Sport and I'm currently contemplating whether to leave them on all year round (I prefer the ride of the 16" wheels/tyres to the 18" ones). If I decide to do that then I will put my 18" Sport wheels up for sale with Conti tyres.

It's strange that the height adjustment still worked if there was a broken wire on the pump. Maybe there was enough air in the system to allow it to work for a period of time with a pump fault?

Did the dealer explain how the mistake was made? Was it a recall that had already been completed on the car, incorrect car details held be them, mistake/incomepetence on their part etc?

Are documents like this availble for other models/systems or is this a one off? Just thinking ahead to when I'm brave enough to start doing some of my own maintenance.

It depends on how the "American CAFE Standard" compares to the way fuel efficiency is measured in Europe (EU cycle etc.) I suppose. I didn't see any performance times in the article but that could be an indicator of why the fuel economy seems low?

Same on mine - the hand car wash place I occasionally use are aware of this so don't lift the arm too far when cleaning the screen.

I had the active light fault message appear on my E280 and MB changed out the entire LH headlanp unit. That was under warranty though so maybe there is a cheaper fix than a complete swap out?

With 16" wheels there is only 5-10mm clearance between the inner wheel and the caliper which looks worrying but in practice isn't a problem.
