Time has come to replace all 4 tyres on my W124 300D. Currently running ContinentalEco 196/65 R15, which must have been on for over 3 years.. Have a price of £52 per tyre, fitted and balanced from my little village garage for a direct replacement or £35 per tyre for a good budget replacement...

Having to lock/unlock car from boot - as both lock barrels in doors have gone. So I'm a little worried that boot barrel will go... I dont want to mess around with different keys for locks/ignition so I'm looking at fitting remote locking... Any recommendations/tips/things to be aware of?

The speakers in my 300d are shot, a lot of cone vibration sound that makes listening to R4 and R5L very annoying.... I might renew that radio too whilst I'm at it... I've looked on ebay and the choice is mind boggling - any recommendations on make model? I'm past the age that I want sub woofers...

I have a problem with the drivers door lock, in that the key goes in, but then you cant turn it.. Its annoying rather than serious as I can open everything from the passenger door or boot... I am going to remove it, to clean it and see if the problem can be identified... If not, I was wondering...

Scratching my head over a problem with my 92 300D. On nights when temperature goes under zero, the battery totally loses its charge - not even enough charge to work the central locking... I thought it was a problem with a dicky battery cell, so replaced the battery and have a brand spanking...
