There is only 3 wires inside that adaptor that are connected by the way. Also you may need to remove the outer housing of the adaptor to make it fit through the round whole in the engine, otherwise you will need to unscrew the main cover.

I cut my rears off my car and then sliced the new ones to slide over. You can then add some tak weld to the join or just mechanically clamp. Pretty easy and cheaper.
