    CLK270 idle speed fluctuating

Hi, Thanks for the advice, I was actually planning to pick up some injector cleaner tomorrow to see if that helps. It was used daily by the previous owner so I can pretty much rule that out, but I will give it a good run up the motorway tomorrow and see if the situation improves That is...

    CLK270 idle speed fluctuating

Hi all, So a long time after selling my 430 its good to say I am back! This time still in the CLK, but now a much more sensible 2003 270 Cdi which I picked up yesterday. Everything seems fine with the car apart from one small thing - the idle speed. This is only when first started up (cold...

CLK Rust in the usual places - Advice Please

Well that is good to know, I don't suppose then there is anyone who can recommend (from personal experience) a body shop in the Manchester area? I've saved up some cash to get this done, but I refuse to be stung twice in a row!

CLK Rust in the usual places - Advice Please

Hi, When I bought the 1999 CLK430 a few months ago, the car had bubbling rust at the back of the rear arches and minor rust at the front arches. I paid £350 to get all 4 panels sorted (was mates rate) and the car looked immaculate when I got it back. At the time I was advised that the R/H rear...

Pics of my new Audio install - Bluetooth/ Ipod/ etc

My CLK had the original 'Audio 10' cassette head unit with Cd changer in boot (which no longer works as not compatible). This uses original ISO connections so no extra leads were required in this area. The only thing was a £1.50 aerial adapter! Regarding steering controls, the fitter had to...

    Look what just arrived .....

that was my main concern to be honest, I had 18's on a previous car which did kill the ride. I do like these ones on yours though, think I will stick with 17's then unless I see a bargain somewhere.......

Maybe the wrong section? Apologies if so, admin please move accordingly. Just thought I would share pics of my recently installed Kenwood KDC-BT8041U. This cost a total of £245 fitted including ipod wires and steering controls adapter. The unit sports: Direct Ipod connection (with full...

    Look what just arrived .....

Cheers! They do go with the car pretty well, however I do like the look of the 18" AMG wheels for the W208 which could be a future mod. Maybe then I too can have a set of winter wheels :D

    Advice needed!

I can also recommend the V8. I test drove a 320 and a 200 Kompressor (W208) and immediately after driving the 430 I knew which one I would opt for. The noise is fantastic (will be even better when I get my new backbox ;)) and the mpg as mentioned above is fine for the average motorist. In all...

Oh great, another thread on CLK steering problems....!

Since buying my W208 CLK, I have had a really annoying vibration at about 50mph through to about 75mph. I have had the wheels balanced 3 times, twice at Kwik Fit (Useless) and once at a local place in Swinton. On the last occasion I sat and watched as they balanced all 4 wheels, each showing...
