I am looking to replace the n/s headlight on a R230 2005 plate. The OE Part No is A 2308206161 I can source one off a SL500 and the Part No is A2308207361 Can anyone advise if this is basically the same part and/or if it is compatible Appreciate any advices on this

Hi…the BCM has packed in on my N/S headlight..2005 R230. The part number of the one in sitch is 307329088. Not been able to locate a used one but can buy another “supposedly” compatible part, Number 307329082.. Is this suitable…any advices would be appreciated as don’t wish to by going to MB to...

Informed my insurers and advised “notification only”. Will push 3rd party for details and probably give the insurers a call to see how they want to play it...

Thanks Boyland, have now advised Insurers as the 3rd party is proving to be a little stubborn in even providing their insurance details.

I like the sound of that “Unblemished Record” haha Unfortunately, my insurance co did not consider that when significantly bumping up my premium following the “car park” incident..

I can assume where it will be situated behind the front seats and will have to check as curious now but certainly not noticed anything that would indicate one being fitted

I believe I do have to advise my insurers as checked this a couple of years ago when someone left their handbrake off in a car park and it rolled into me....by the way. I am not accident prone as these are the only 2 “crashes” in the last 25 years..

This may sound dumb but I am not aware of a roll over bar fitted, certainly never been deployed and not evident ....

Spike, I did not mention it but I had more or less the same problem with the wife’s Fiesta many years ago. No visible damage and many months later the car failed its MOT with a “crumpled” sub-frame..total write-off.. I think this is what is giving me reason to be concerned ...

Thanks again MJ.....I hate dilemnas.......the roof has to be sorted so need to get that inspected anyway and IF impact damage is identified as the causation then will make a claim. I will advise my insurers "notification only" which will keep the door open for me if I have to pursue a claim...

I am just a little concerned as to the cost of the bodywork inspection if no damage identfied as I believe they would possible need to strip the backend down to check. Then the cost is all mine and for nothing other than peace of mind...

Jobsworth.. For your info... The battery is "62 062 Lion Car Battery" available in Amazon. Stated a 7 day delivery timescale but delivered within 3 . Fitted like a glove...

Thanks , unfortunately none with the low height. Have found one on Amazon for £104 which iis perfect sims..specifically the 138mm height. It is actually supplied by Europarts and is over £200 on their site.. Appears Amazon are doing the bargaining for us !!

Very much appreciate your concerns but the technical spec of the batteries are identical to the current fitment, it is just whether it will fit under the bonnet when closed...

Looking for a replacement front battery for Merc 350SL - 2005. Current battery is approx. 140mm high.... OE is very expensive but finding similar spec batteries at less than half the price. Main problem I am finding is that the lowest heights are 175-190mms.... What additional headroom do I have...

Most, if not all car manufacturers use several tyre suppliers. So would I am sure they would be able to provide a list of these and would not wish to lose a sale if you insisted on a particular tyre manufacturer for your car from this list...
