Thanks guys. I'm not trying to single handedly save the world, I just bought a nice car that is clever and cheap to run. Is I like it a good enough reason? :)

So is the moral thing to do is to go back to burning £320 per month of unleaded and ruining the air quality for every one. The reality is that in 9 years time no one will be able to chose to drive a car that burns fossil fuel and pollutes the air. Given that my new car is greener, cleaner...

    Tesla Model 3

I think you are right. Because you have no mechanical noise you tend to focus only on wide noise. Around town it is exceptionally quiet , one only notices the wind noise at speed.

Conversely early adopters are paying a fortune for new vehicles whose technology will soon appear in every car. We are paying to make a cleaner greener future for every one.

Re the £90 that is a standing charge for our combined gas and electric bill, so nothing to with the car per se. The reality is that you only charge above 90pc if you were doing a long trip, you would also seldom go below 20pc because you always want some fuel in the tank. I rarely charge on the...

Hi, Yes that it wrong. Hopefully this copy/paste will work. This is from my actual electricity bill. 4.7p per kwh. My is 55kwh x 4.7p = £2.58 to fill my car up. HTH Greg Supplier British Gas Tariff name Electric Drivers Energy Plan Sep 2021 Tariff type Fixed Dual Fuel Payment method...

    Tesla Model 3

I accept that a S Class and a Tesla are probably similiar at motorwat speeds in terms of noise but around town my Tesla is silent, just tyre noise. A Tesla 3 starts at £40k and cost £2.50 to fill up but an S Class costs....

I can't believe how rash I was. I just jumped in and purchased my tesla outright! however, i have regretted it at all and if I wanted out the resale values are still superb.

I agree about touch and feel. Nicer leather and plastics etc. However, the cars are almost silent and i think it was Chris Harris who said that any Tesla is quiter than an S class.

Good to hear from you. Lol. How had you heard about my Tesla!

    Tesla Model 3

It isn't great that some people have had a bad customer service experience while others have a perfect experience. For me everything has been good but I hear what your saying. My first drive was in a Model S and the air suspension and 0-60 in 2.8 or something daft make me feel ill as well. I...

When we are all vaccinated and pass Covid, I'd delighted to show you the Tesla. It is nike jumping from a Nokia 3310 to an iPhone. It is that big a step forward.

Thanks BD. I need to change my car from C350 to Tesla but I'm happy to stay around and share my EV journey.

Hi, good to hear from you. That is dreadful that your test drives didn't happen. The white "leather" is great. I clean it once a month with Gliptone liquid leather and it comes up as good as new. So far there is zero wear which ties in with what long term owners say ie that the white premium...

    Tesla Model 3

Hi, still alive and kicking! Glad you like "R2". Try and get a go in a Tesla at a dealer. i think you can get unaccompanied test drives (due to Covid). It will totally change your outlook! Best wishes Greg

    Tesla Model 3

Hi Chris, my last MB was a C350 Sport Edition with every option and it was lovely. I was at Bluewater one day and booked a test drive in a Tesla just because they looked cool. Literally with 200 yards I was hooked. Electric acceleration after driving an auto was a relelation. The 0-60 is 5 secs...

    Tesla Model 3

Hi, I doubt many will remember me but I used to be on here about six years ago. I am in my second year of owning this Tesla having previously owned many Mercedes over 22 years. I'm happy to answer any questions about running a Tesla or an EV. Regards Greg

They are great cars. It costs me £2.50 to fill up and it does that in my garage overnight. 0-60 in 5 but performance is instant at all times. Best car that Ive ever had.
