    ASR Light on

Sorry to hijack, but I've got an almost identical problem on a 2000X W202. BAS/ASR light comes on randomly and kills the throttle. Coast to the side of the road and restart the engine and it goes. Normally happens when slowing from 40-ish, no real coincidence with use of the brake. Changed the...

BAS/ASR Fault, variation on the theme?

Well, that's it. Done. Switch changed. Dead easy job, took all of 15mins from first screw out to last one in. Been for a spin and no light on so fingers crossed.........:) The second part number was definitely the one for the car by the way. Think there must have been a change after 99.

Anybody had DAB in their motor, and if so what type of aerial did you use? Three options I'm looking at are: Internal, Stick on the window jobbie. External, probably glass mounted to remove the risk of any leaks. Aerial Splitter, to use existing aerial Would be interested on anyone's...

Dudley/Wolves/West Mids? Any recommendations for servicing?

Had mine serviced with a transmission oil change as well last week at WDM in Perry Barr, Birmingham. Really nice bunch of lads who obviously know their stuff. Prices good, less than £300 for the following: "A" service, including oil and fiilter change, air filter, wipers front and rear...

BAS/ASR Fault, variation on the theme?

The GSF part number for that year is M93465 (W202 >99). Mine had a different part number as it's a 2000 model, ME9310020. Both £7.95 + VAT. Hope this helps. Will be swapping mine this week hopefully.:D

Audio 10 CD player, Can any CD player replace it?

The connections are standard ISO connectors, so as long as the stereo you're fitting has the same connections, not a problem. Even if they are different, autoleads do harnesses for virtually any stereo to save you cutting into the loom.

BAS/ASR Fault, variation on the theme?

Think mine's more likely a speed sensor, as i noticed this morning the light comes on when slowing from lower speeds by easing off the gas, not when the brake is pressed. ABS still works with the light lit, as slowing to the side of the road with snow/ice on it the ABS kicked in.
