Billy had a 124 coupe list going about 6 years ago from memory, I can't find it but the mods might be able to..? Maybe its best to go find one more like what you want to use because for starters that front looks awful low, they run out of travel, angles do funny things, needs to be modded...

Pull the dash out by the switch and all will be revealed, there is an instruction from MB on how to do this. A replacement switch is cheap enough from a breaker to see if that does it or a swap out of the PCB may show you the board may respond to a re-solder.

Put your hazard lights on and clean your back screen with a wash wipe at the same time as reversing slowly out, toot the horn after about a foot; works everytime, but if it doesn't slam on the brake at a really slow speed then immediately start reversing in ultra slow mode again. Should frighten...

Don't forget to take a look at the switch on the dash too, I've had bits of metal rain out of mine, so they do fail. Control board behind the switch may have the famous dry solder joint which sometimes can be remelted successfully with a fine tipped iron and a steady, quick hand.
