But we do get to drive around with dolly birds in our convertibles, courtesy of our tropical climate ;) Arghh I just replied to someone from Pompey!

    SL fest in Southampton today.

I wonder if one of them was me ... ?? Where abouts Gaz? I was surprised how many R129s I've seen down here. As for Southampton .. it's not THAT bad!

    Sky Broadband

I am also considering the Sky package. You may want to research through here: http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=sky however it is always worth taking with a pinch of salt - as those who post are often those with something to complain about. You don't often get good reports...

Free last time I needed it, and they only needed the chassis number as this linked to the original unit.

    Wheel caps

I got some a couple of months ago, from one of the recommended Mercedes online dealers here. I'll look up the details and try posting later tonight, or if memory returns [Ed- Inchcape Mercedes http://www.mercedes-benz-parts.co.uk/default.aspx ]. Very quick turn round. £7.31 + vat - not sure...

    ipod music transfere

If you're struggling with iTunes you can always try MediaMonkey. I found it more intuitve and it not only works (synchronises) with iPods but most other mp3 devices as well, like my iRiver.

    Lets Have A Laugh

A man charged with assault and battery insisted at his trial that he had just pushed his victim "a little bit". When he was pressured by the prosecutor to illustrate just how hard, the defendant approached the lawyer, slapped him in the face, grabbed him firmly by the lapels and flung him over...

    SE P990 Vs Nokia 9500

Hi DolphiN Tech, have you managed to blag or get hold of a P990 yet? Hoping to get my hands on a P990 this weekend and to compare with a K800. I love my P900 and want the same functionality in my next phone, but it seems the P990 is my only option. However a 3.2 Mpixel camera is tempting from...

    What small car for £3000?

Honda Civic VTi. Thoroughly recommended by 2 colleagues (both bought at £3k). VTEC engine, efficient at slow speeds, very responsive when you boot it to 4.5K revs. Roomy and comfortable, well spec'd. I've had a Prelude previously and can thoroughly recommend Honda's level of customer service...

Sky+ to DVD, plus new TV

Ot Shude, it is well worth hacking your TiVo as it is relatively easy to backup programmes to DVD with TyTools now. Having the web interface allows remote programming as well. I guess you have seen tivocommunity.com Sorry no knowledge on Sky+ but would like to know how you do it. JonO

IIRC: My 1998 (though some 99 spec) has black (hairy) reverse. Hardtop was put on this morning but I can check next time the weather permits.

    Bose Speakers

I can also endorse the Kef KHT2005 speaker package. Make sure you get the 2005.2 as they have the enhanced speaker cones and they do sound crisper. As mentioned by an earlier poster, make sure you "test drive" them yourself as one persons cheese is anothers chalk. I love my Kefs, my sister...

    Suspension Arm question

Having recently had a service on my R129 (SL320), I was informed that a suspension arm had been fitted upside down during some other work to the car. I'm interested to know if this would have had any nasty side-effects? The arm is a "w" shape, fixed at both ends. So on one side it was...
