Just a bit of history to add. Last years MOT got everything fixed and has hardly been run since, all the advisories were also fixed as it was all brake related apart from the back box, which was replaced. Im selling due to the car being run into during the night while it was parked, I dont use...

    Deep Dish wheels on w202

Do it :D with black wheels (with a nice deep polished rim) it will look awesome, like that car looks. And get to a bodyshop and debadge it completely, that chrome dot on the front of that car spoils it somewhat.

    Big shock with my Alloys

Well with expensive wheels it may well be worth buying the best, but if you just want some kinda locking nuts and your main concern is "will they fit" then just go down to your local retailer for that kinda thing, I got some from euro car parts.

What finish to have on my wheels....opinions please!!!

I think black face with a polished lip would look good. Other than that I like dark grey metallic finishes.

    Sticking throttle (W202)

Its a very early (registered december '93) pre-facelift car, partial siezing at the throttle body sounds like it could be the problem, is it something that more WD40 (the answer to everything) could solve? I dont have much experience dealing with stuff under the bonnet anyone got any tips on...

    Sticking throttle (W202)

Yesterday my throttle kept sticking so quite often when I disengaged the clutch the idle was at about 2k-3k RPM, Ive had this problem before it but it disapeared for a while now its back. Ive lubricated everything I can think of inside the car first using WD30 and then grease by taking the panel...

General additives - coolant, screenwash etc

More recent MB cars need specific coolant according to my local Motor Factor shop, found that out only coz he asked the year of my C-class when I was in there buying some. That doesnt mean it has to be an MB brand I think it just has to be a certain type. I use washing up liquid in my...

Alloy Wheel Refurb - How good do they have to be

Im gonna get one of those alloy wheel repair kits, but Im going on holiday soon so I'll probably only do it some time in august, I will post before and after pics though as long as I dont make a mess of it. If I was going for a full refurb Id be very tempted to change the colour just to make...

    Cut price mods

I'll post a pic after I tidy it up a bit, right now I only have a very bad phone picture of it. Painter calipers is a good idea yeah, wouldnt make sense for me because my alloys cover most of the brakes so you realy wouldnt see it anyway, would work on a more open wheel design though.

    Cut price mods

Im just thinking of ways to improve the looks of my car without spending much money on it at all. I need to sort out the rust first but after that Ive come up with a couple of ideas myself, let me know if u have any others. Paint they grey plastic grille in black, make the chrome stand out...

    W124 Wide arch kit

Its always worth considering finding a bodyshop good enough to fabricate metal arch extensions onto the originals for you, that is cut away the old arch bit of the panel and weld in a new piece of metal, pretty sure that way you could get a DTM look arch thats not gonna fall to pieces or a panel...

    MKB-Tuning

Grooved and cross drilled discs are supposed to disepate heat a lot better, but Ive heard of cross-drilled discs being a problem on the road as the holes get clogged up, from what I heard grooved discs are the way to go but never having owned either Im not the one to say for sure.

    MKB-Tuning

Brakes are one of those things where uprated doesnt mean better it seems, some need to heat up more than standard brakes before they'll work well, others will fade away quicker. As someone said before I am suprised about the tein suspension, they do have a good reputation for quality and arent...

Is there a knack to removing bumper trim?

Is this the same for W202 bumpet inserts? Not the chrome but the coloured bits? Mine are damaged but theyre a different colour to the car, how would I be able to find the paint code coz mine have been badly repaired by the previous owner, if I can take them off Im pretty sure I could sand prime...

    Lowered my car

Personal taste N/B, I think that pic u posted looks like it should be on an old rally car, not that its a bad thing in itself but I wouldnt do it. Though as a safety its actually good, bet its saved u from kerb damage a few times.
