Definitely check the Battery. Would be useful if you can somehow read any fault codes. I had a faulty Wheel Speed Sensor, which caused all manner of seemingly unrelated warnings, from ABS, Engine Fault, to the roof not wanting to close - all because the car couldn't tell if it was moving or not!

Just wanted to give a recommendation for MB Automotive in Loughborough. The SL is just back from its annual service & MOT (which it sailed through!). They fixed the common fault with the webbing coming adrift from the electric wind deflector - and didn't charge me for it! Entirely reasonable...

Car went into MB Automotive this morning for MOT and Service. Smooth as silk. What really impressed me was when I collected the car, they told me that it hadn't needed Washer Fluid, so they hadn't charged me for any - they could easily have said nothing, and pocketed the cash. Highly recommended.

Just replaced the Pirellis on the SL with these. Looked at getting Asymmetric 5s, but Blackcircles didn't have them for both sizes, and they're 3dB noisier(!). I've previously had Asymmetric 3s on the CLS and the SLK, and I love them. Much better wet grip than the P-Zeros and much quieter too.
