    Electric window and seat fail

If it resets after disconnecting the battery (worth a if you know the radio code), expect a problem with the rear DCM.

Sorry tale of glow plug replacement - what next?

My first question has to be, why was the cylinder head removed? We extract seized, sheared and bodged glow plugs in the OM642 in-car, with about an hour for each plug, although they can take less or more depending on access, but usually removing fuel rails is the worst of it. Have a look on...

as above, you would need some kind of bespoke or hybrid ecu, or else fit the entire esp, ignition and loads of other electrical gear too.

211 vibrating water from rad in torque fixed

inside the TC is the lock up clutch - similar to the clutches in the box itself, or even a motorcycle clutch. it is the friction surface of the clutch plates that is affected by the glycol, making them judder when in slipping mode (the clutch is either open, slipping or locked). it is possible...

Making a website on the internets...

if you google the name of the company i used to work for, alex crow will be top of the list. the site itself has never cost me a single penny, and is easy enough to deal with when you learn your way around.

    Engine cutting out (EPC WARNING)

duncanh and andymerc have the right advice here. you really need a fault code analysis, followed by further tests to pin it down - guessing wrongly gets expensive quickly.

    w210 sunroof fix?

another good tip is to wedge a piece of MB rubber vacuum hose behind the 'tounge' - works like a charm, especially if used with the 2x screw method.

w123 Front calipers - size change in 1980

hi jessica, yes some accept slightly thicker pads, but all pads are the same basic length and width. so if the pads can be fitted they will be fine. these same pads were used on many different models back in the day, including the 108 and 116 IIRC. you are better off with the ATE calipers as the...

If I could swear this page would be blue, C230K Air Filter Box

hi, the split hose is quite common and certainly a credible scenario. to remove the housing you need to undo some obvious plugs and the heavy duty clip on the intake hose at the back. then after unscrewing the 2x T20 screws you need to lift the rear end clear of the intake hose, and slide the...

    merc e250 w210 edc light

ok, lift the rear seat base and have a look next to the battery. you will find a foam clad control unit - this is the pse unit and does many things. have a look for any signs of damp, disconnect the plugs and check for corrosion - see anything? obviously you have already checked ALL the fuses in...

    merc e250 w210 edc light

k40 relay is in the module case under the bonnet. this has a black plastic cover with 4x screws and is at the passenger side back at the bulk head. for central locking and windows i suggest you disconnect the battery for 1 min and then reconnect and try again. if this cures it for a while at...
