    ESP Fault

Resolved!!! Thanks, Alex. After the back and forth discussion with you I decided to redo these measurements on ESP module and related grounding points. I started from the battery poles and fuses. I noticed the fuse 11 under rear seat is not there, which is for ESP module:eek: . Put it back...

    ESP Fault

12V without engine running. When engine is running I saw over 13V. If 12V is crucial for the angle sensor, there are two things wrong. First, no voltage when key at position 2 (I think it's ignition on, isn't it?). Second, marginal voltage. Where can I find the wire diagram?

    ESP Fault

Ignition off, all 4 pins are zero V. Ignition on, one pin is 11.8V, one pin is 12.0V, other two are zero. The wiring diagram is exactly what I'm looking for. Is it avaliable in this forum? I thought 12.0V is marginal because it said the angle sensor is extremly sensitive to low voltage...

    ESP Fault

I found a PDF explaning how MB steering angle sensor works...the steering angle sensor is permanently supplied with power from Terminal 30.This means that steeringwheel movements are also detected with ”ignition off”... I measured the 4 pin cable to the angle sensor, all 4 pins voltage are zero...

    ESP Fault

Thanks for quick reply. Ok, the history..... I got this car 4 months ago while I test drove it there was no ESP /ABS/BAS waring, the only problem was passenger side window/door/mirror. I fixed that later by disconnecting the rear passenger door module. However the ESP warning came up the...

    ESP Fault

Hi, Alex, I'm having the same issue on my 99 E430. Checked with a carsoft scanner gave code C1140, which is steering angle sensor shorted or opened circuit. I talked to a indy today he told me 2 hours to calibrate the sensor. If calibration not working then the sensor needs be replaced. Is there...

W202 electrical problem effecting windows and alarm

Great Thanks to Alexander and gchild. I disconnected the rear passenger side door control module and the problem has not come back so far for 1 week, the longest time I don't have to reset battery! The cost is a couple of broken door panel clips. Next I'm going to take the module out and...

W202 electrical problem effecting windows and alarm

I'm having the similar symptons on my E430 1999. The only differnece is that I can reset the battery to fix this window/door/mirror issue, but it would come back few days later. There is no certain pattern which window/door would fail could be any one of them or over time 2 of them. I will try...
