Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

The MIB site says it's on a Speed triple 955.

I used to work at Cussons who make the soap. At some point I believe they took over the firm who made 1001 carpet cleaner. They had loads of plates with one or two letters and 1001.

Test drove an Audi, and I'm tempted to go "over there"

    The RS4 doesn't have any turbos. It's the RS6 which has a 4.2 V8 twin turbo.

It appears I have to go to court

Tom is correct. If charged with dangerous it could be reduced to a due care but not the other way round.

    C class

If it's a demo all the miles could have been done by people driving like they stole it. I have done quite a few miles in a BMW 530d which averaged 24mpg. They were hard miles. ;)

    One Bad Copper..............

If the only grounds for pleading not guilty is the lack of full uniform, prepare for disappointment. When I report people whilst on the bike I quite often take my helmet off. I think it's less intimidating. Do you believe all the tickets I issue are incorrect? Seek legal advice before...

    Engine chips and Insurance

It all depends on the claim you make. If it's a reasonably small one with no injuries almost certainly not. On the other hand if you plough into a bus stop crowded with schoolkids and kill several almost certainly yes.

    Carrying documents whilst driving.

And that's always right isn't it. I'm totally sick of watching supposedly experienced traffic officers telling people they are under arrest for providing a positive breath test.

    Carrying documents whilst driving.

We do still issue them but not very often. Everything is now on computer but they do sometimes go down or are taken offline for other reasons. I was told a week or so back that I could not issue a HO/RT1 and he had it in writing!! Probably from a bloke on t'internet.

    Carrying documents whilst driving.

It is an offence to fail to produce your driving licence, insurance or MOT cert to a Police Officer on demand. However if you produce them within seven days you will not be prosecuted.
