I have an e350cdi with audio 20 and telephone prewire, it says in the manual that the audio 20 can read SMS messages when connected to the phone cradle. I have an iPhone and whenever I try it says no messages. Does anyone have a phone where this feature works?

I picked up my e class coupe today and looked at fitting the phone cradle for my iPhone 3gs. The cradle fastened to the prewire easily and synced with my phone no problem, now I need to run the cable from my cradle to the media interface in the glove box, I cannot see any obvious knockouts etc...

I've just ordered a new e class coupe for 1st March, what I need to know is when I take delivery what "options" in star are enabled and do I get to select anything? When I collected my lexus a few years ago they gave me a sheet of options and I just ticked what I wanted enabling.
