C270 Owners - What engine temperature?

My CLK270 takes an age to reach temperature but the dealer says 'they all do that'. Last winter my 13 mile journey to work saw decent heater output only towards the end. A/C helped but I'm too Scottish to run with it on all the time.

    It's up for sale.

Yes I have but 'my' dealership badmouthed the other local dealer. Not very professional or ethical but I did some homework (spoke to two customers and a member of staff) and didn't hear anything to disprove it. For nine years previously I owned Subarus and had nothing but good, honest and polite...

    It's up for sale.

Had my CLK over a year now but, fine car though it is, I'm selling it and that's me finished with Mercedes. My dealer has soured the experience. I've been treated pretty poorly, been accused of telling porkies (ie 'who told you that?'), had shoddy and inconsiderate service, been charged for free...

    Seat grime

My CLK's light grey leather is getting a little mucky, especially the driver's seat. Anyone tried a good product for cleaning - or is warm, soapy water the best bet?

    Hello all

Gee, that's a month passed already and we're getting along just fine. I'm beginning to understand why some drivers keep buying these things. It feels like it was hewn from solid, reasonably brisk, economical (nearly double that of the Impreza) and......it's a nice place to sit after a sh!tty day...

    Hello all

Bought it. 2005 (05) CLK 270 Elegance 35,000 miles (wrongly quoted at 42k in the ad) 24 months free servicing (we'll see) 12 months parts & labour Park assist (now she'll drive it, dammit) Tellar silver Clean as a clean thing £13,992 seemed reasonable from an official dealer Can't wait for the...

    Hello all

You hit the nail on the head there Steve. No discount, but £13.992 for an 05 with 42k sounds reasonable-ish for an MB dealer. I would expect the free services to throw up some items needing attention or replacement which are not covered though. Jeez I'm getting cynical.

    Gaz_L's Subaru Impreza

I'm looking for a CLK270 and got an Impreza to sell when I find one. Couldn't agree more about the dogs out there though. I learned from my last one that they're best left unmolested and serviced properly. Mind you even a good Impreza is worth depressingly little these days, dammit.

    Hello all

Thanks for all that y'all. I shall now fire away. 1) I looked at my first one today; private sale, 270 auto Elegance, 2005(55), 57k miles and very clean indeed, £16,500 seemed expensive and he dropped it to £14,200 when I said so! I don't think he'd done his homework on price.... From what I've...

    Hello all

Steve, Initially looking for a CLK270 (auto) as I got a lift in one a few months ago and it was impressive. Sounded like a 5 cylinder so I asked the driver and he didn't know! What happened in / after 2004 to make 'em better? Norrie

    Hello all

Hello everyone. Going to come out of Impreza ownership after 9 years and settle into gentle CLK care. Diesel auto probably and I've never owned either so I've popped my head in here to seek advice and listen to the experts.
