    temperature sensor on w124

I have a similar problem with my W124 estate, and I am sure it's the gauge not the sensor. If you give the gauge a tap if often returns to normal again, it might be worth trying this next time it happens. You can usually tell if the engine really is overheating by the way the car feels.

Rear Light Drivers Side/Off Side for W124 Estate

I am trying to source a new Off Side rear lamp unit for a 1995 Mercedes E300 Estate (W124) I broke the lens on mine today. I would prefer a complete unit if possible, payment will be sent via PayPal. Many thanks

    Spicing up F1

I do think it's about time Bernie and Max moved on, I am not sure it's a good idea having just one person in charge who's main objective seems to be making money for himself as opposed to putting the sport first. We should remember that it is meant to be a sport still. I cannot understand why...

    Auctioned Today - Estimated £390k - £440k

Totally agree Mudster, when I first saw it, I thought who the hell put those alloys wheels on a 350SL, then I realised it was a new car. I like the idea, a bit like the Ford GT too, but I would take the original ANY day of the week, regardless of whether it was worth more or not..

Faulty Heater Control Illumination Lights W124

Hi Frank, Do you know what number the bulb should be, I was assuming it's a 286 type (1.2W) the same as the others for the heater fan controls?

    Amplifier Placement in W124 Estate

I had a quick look in the threads but could not find anything regarding good places to fit a 4/6ch amplifier in a W124 Estate. I was hoping to use one to power a set of front and rear speakers, and possibly a sub too. Is there anywhere convenient behind the dash that can be used. I wanted to try...

Removing centre dash air vent post-facelift W124

It's a 10mm nut to remove the airbag, and there is usually enough cable to allow it to be withdrawn enough to access the screw without disconnecting. There are 2 metal clips in the vent, I imagine you have seen these already, and a 4mm allen bolt to attach it to the vent in the centre.

Faulty Heater Control Illumination Lights W124

Sorry, I am not sure why the pictures won't show up. But basically the two control knobs that can be pulled off are working, but the red/white blue temperature control dial is not. I just wanted to check that it should light up.

Faulty Heater Control Illumination Lights W124

Many thanks Nick, I think the knob part is correct, it's the blue/red dials that don't seem to be lit up. I have enclosed an image which may make it more clear

Faulty Heater Control Illumination Lights W124

I am trying to figure out whether the heater controls on my W124 (1993 300e) should be illuminated or not. The dial parts with the arrows on are that control fan speed and airflow are lit up, but the circular dials to control temperature (red to blue) are not. I don't know if they are meant to...

There are a fair few units available now, I quite like the Blaupunkt stuff as it seems a bit like OEM. They do a few bluetooth players with usb or headphone connections
