Ah!... very good!

Well he may not even realise that you can change the oil... That's my point... I have heard that just doing that can sometimes solve problems though...

Most people don't know anything about changing gearbox oil. I've heard that Mercedes don't even recognise that it should be done?:fail ZF say it should be done after 75000 miles but Merc say it's "same oil for life of vehicle" clearly estimating vehicle life at less than my 180k estate!

Well, although It's been 4 years since I begged the question, I can now report that I did indeed buy the car! It now has 180k on the clock and has had the gearbox oil changed as suggested... The only real issues have been the need for a new water pump and a replacement DPF which I sourced online...

Oh and I've taken photo's of my fix so when I sus out how to post them I will!

Yes they do have a weak spot simply by being made entirely of plastic instead of metal. Very shoddy if you ask me... I will post back when I've refitted the door panel with an update...

Same problem. I have attempted a fix by gluing the broken bit back on then drilling tiny holes to allow a picture wire loop which I tightened by twisting and covering in glue gel. Thank you to everyone for links tips and advice on this annoying issue. (found on various posts on here) Door panel...

Thanks very much for all the advice and opinions. I will report back if I take the plunge. I have had plenty of auto's before and changed gearbox oils as a matter of course but know for a fact that this one HASN'T had its gearbox oil changed. Non the less I am guessing motorway miles of this...

Ok so I've been away for a wile since my w203 went but i'm desperate for an estate and have viewed a 2009 se blue efficiency with 150 k on the clock... FMBSH. Am I kidding myself or is this a good buy at 7k? It's gone from Scotland to London for 3 years plus... Any opinions appreciated...

Hi all, I too want to know how to remove the plastic bumper strip properly, without damaging the paintwork or the clips that hold it in place, anyone any advice?

Bumper strip removal for fitting parking sensor strip? Hi Nibbo, or anyone reading this with the knowledge! Can anyone please expand on the best starting point when attempting to remove the bumper strip in question, as i'm afraid of breaking it or scratching it in the process. (C220 Estate)...
