My W210 Rear Ended! Bad Day!!

The only way this would happen is if the impact was that bad you would be dead from that alone! let alone the gas tank splitting. Your fuel tank is wafer thin or plastic in most cases now so I would worry about that one first!

My W210 Rear Ended! Bad Day!!

The car was a saloon, gas tank in the spare wheel well. I guess this will be the same for an estate? Sold the car just over a year ago now, it had covered about 130k with NO LPG related problems whatsoever! I now drive an Audi A4 1.8T S-Line that I have also had converted, covered 70k with it...

Just an update, the first tank of LPG delivered 290mls with mixed driving (would have streched a bit further if I tried) fill up at 54.9ppl cost £27 (around 50ltrs) :D Usual station is around 51-52ppl so would have been a bit cheaper.... So at the mo is working out a bit cheaper than the...

I'm sure it will happen in the near future but people were saying the same when I had my last system fitted 3yrs ago, for the time being anyway (and 30k per year) it's still worth it and paid for within 5 months.

LPG is now fitted to the A4 and as usual it is great, good work again by the guys at DualFuel in Woking, turned it around in 4 days! New system fitted this time (Prins VSI) old one was an AG SGi. Back to £26 fill ups!!!! :D Next on the list is to fit cruise control, works out at around...

Yea around 30k per year, diesel cars are more expensive to buy (new or SH) and at £1.10+ per ltr it would not work out (I tried one for a week), my LPG is now 51p per ltr and I prefer not to have the clatter of a derv ;) I choose the 1.8T as LPG cannot (currently) be fitted to the larger FSi...

Yea wanted to go back down a size (had a C-Class before the E) Not that much smaller to be honest, boot is huge as no petrol tank in the way also seats will fold down unlike the Merc. Rear leg room is where it is smaller but still not too bad. Looking forward to getting the LPG back, only...

Hi all, Just to say my good old 2001 E200 Kompressor (on LPG) is being traded in against a 2005 Audi A4 1.8T 190 S Line (LPG to be fitted :p ) The Merc has now done 131k and is feeling tired and rust is coming out of everywhere! I have had Merc's for 8 years now and the...

All 200K Engine Owners - Please Read!

Question for the 'experts' ;) Recently I have had a loss in power (around 50%) it's just like having half the normal power on pullaway! On the motorway once you get it to 70-80mph its fine but it's dangerous to pull out to overtake as its just dead! This went on for a couple...

Just an update on this guys, it was the MAF sensor causing the problems with surging at motorway speeds as predicted by the 'pros' of the forum :) (well it has gone since fitting it last week) I have only just got around to doing it!! BTW the sensor was £175 from Euro Car Parts, Merc wanter...

It does indeed I have seem it with my own eyes  all engine sensor plugs were saturated in oil.... Unfortunatly all the old parts were thrown away last week or I would have got some pictures up for you. Also I admit It is a bit weird when you take the plug out of your engine ECU and...

Problem I get is not many people want to touch the car with LPG fitted to it, everything that used to go wrong the dealers (when it was just still in warranty) blamed the LPG system and the LPG dealer blamed the Merc dealer  My technician now has been looking after the car for the...

Thanks guys, I like to have a few different views and it is good to hear it from a wide range of mechanics/enthusiasts, I guess even Merc technicians can have blinkers ok sometimes (at £130 per hour)...;)
