In the rear of the stereo unit I have checked that all plugs are secure. The plug with two bulbs red & white and the wires are orange. What is this plug for? Should the red & white lights be lit up? I am getting the NO CD message on the stereo when I press CD but there is a light on the CD...

When i press CD on the stereo (audio 20) I think It says NO CD I have checked in the boot and the CD changer ejects and lights up so I assume it is powered up. I have pulled the stereo out and checked the back connections and everything seems fine. I just don't want to take it to an audio place...

A workmate owns an S class 280 1998 model. Sometimes when he moves off the car is really slow like the handbrake is on then he gets a power surge. Does anybody have any ideas or pointers to what the problem may be. Any tips would be hugely appreciated. TIA
