I have a CTEX charger that I use on my car. No need to disconnect the battery, just connect the charger to the battery and leave it. I have left the charger on for a few months without any issue.

Hi, welcome to the forum. My wife has the same car as yours. The main things to look out for in my opionion is rust-wheel arches, wings boot lid being the main areas.

If MB are servicing the car, then they should stamp the service book, regardless of the type of service thats been done. Does that not equate to a FMBSH?

I have spoken with MB Basingstoke about this service as I have normally taken my car there and they don't offer this service. Very surprised as its on the MB website. Maybe franchised dealers don't offer this service.

I have the same problem on my C240 when the gearbox oil is cold. Its fine once the gearbox oil has warmed up.

Why don't you take the car back to the mechanic and get them to check. Would save you the uncertainty about if you are doing it right/have the right dipstick ..

Put in the Shell equivalent-is it called VPower? Not driven the car much recently to notice a difference,but will drop a post when I have covered sufficient mileage to comment upon.

How do you manage to get 50mpg. The most I have got on my E320cdi is 40mpg and that is driving very sensibly.:confused: BTW sorry for highjacking the thread, but is 50mpg a one off or realisitic to get on a regular bases.

Its so much more fun and enjoyable doing 70+, but I know I could get better MPH.:) Aren't these cars meant to be driven fast? ;)

I'm doing very short journeys at the moment and getting around 18-20MPG. Motorway mileage is in the high twenties.

I have always used Mobil One 0/40 on my 202.:thumb: Never had any problem using it. Maybe more expensice to buy, but you won't go wrong with it imho.

Hi Bobby, I recently renewed my sons passport using the Post Office Check and Send service and got it back in a week. I know the Passport office get busier in the summer so hopefully you should be fine now and get your passport back within 2 week.:)

The original battery on my C240 lasted 10 years-mind you I only used the car for motor journeys and was rarely used for short journeys. So 7 years is pretty good.:)

Agree with Grober-the 1st change is the most important. I had my ATF changed on my 320cdi at 40,000. I will be looking at changing it again once the next 40,000 is completed, or earlier if I don't do the mileage! It will not do any harm to the gearbox changing the ATF. You will be pleasantly...

+1 I had one go on my E320cdi and changed all of them.
