I've had a similar issue with a 1994 E320. OVP change didn't help, changed cruise/idle ecu but same result and I'll be changing the throttle body in a couple of weeks, which I've got my fingers crossed will fix things. Will report back when it's done.

Maybbe it's just as well it's in the States, ... because you would have been disappointed to have paid all that money only to find out it's not a coupe, but a sedan. ;)

My money's on the accumulator I had an identical problem on my 1986 190E, fixed by replacing the accumulator.
