A policeman just when you need one :)

I never suggested otherwise. It was more of glib observation after a pal stopped to report a dangerous driver and got warned his bumper was dangerous (it wasn't). However, link please.... (btw I know you can stop to use the phones but I can't remember ever seeing anything that says it is ok to...

Probably lucky you didn't get done for pulling up on the hard shoulder when it wasn't an emergency!

My friend Dave needs some car tax advice

Eh? This the same DVLA famous for losing new keeper records. Rubbish at post generally. Sending out the SORN notices for no reason etc? Like a lot of public offices it was bloated and badly run with a lot of people stealing a wage. Now, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to deal...

Was embarrassed on the 1/4 mile!

Strange that as autoboxes are often quicker... car can change gear faster than the driver (Toyota billed the Supra as .5 faster to sixty as an auto over the manual for example and the new twin clutch things should be even better). The issue is launching the thing off the line. Surprised at...

    Dashcams can be quite revealing

just for interest, how does all this fit into being able to get an MP to send you snaps of themselves just so you can get a newspaper story out of it? How is that not breach of privacy etc etc? Not sure how the rules seem to be being applied here. OP seems to have done nothing but...

SL63 leaves biker on country road!

Not sure how this is news? 180mph £13,000 bike performs as Mr Yamaha says it will 200mph £100,000 car does slightly better and performs as Mr Mercedes says it will. Safety aside someone is getting a lot more bang for their buck.

    Argumental

I just think it is sad that we have to have two sticky threads at the top of this board, one on trolling and one on abusive posts and yet neither are working. Cinek (don't mean to pick on you) but your conclusion in that thread was 100% wrong (i.e. that the bike was entirely to blame...

    Argumental

Some of the views expressed on that thread where disgraceful though. There is a way to make your point without attacking those who are no longer around to defend themselves. What was a brave action to educate car drivers and bikers alike has been turned into a slanging match by people who are...

    Mercedes SL63 AMG vs Yamaha R1 300km/h

I did 25,000 miles on mine in two years as I used it to commute to work. Build quality amazing. Could bimble along in top gear at 30mph and still accelerate if needed. Much quicker than the 'Blade but no power band. The 'Blade gets to 6000 rpm then goes off like a cat that has just had a...

    Mercedes SL63 AMG vs Yamaha R1 300km/h

This. Bang for buck the bike costs about the same as a wheel nut on a SL63. The value for a speed freak is astonishing. (2000 W plate FireBlade @£2250 by the way and previously, a CBR1100XX which was insanely easy to get up to license melting speeds but also felt incredibly safe doign it)

really getting pxxxd of with drivers on M25

You could also say that when you see a sign saying "works 1 mile" there should be another sign saying "merge". That way, there wouldn't be half a mile of standing traffic. All those in the outer lane could merge while traffic is flowing and there is space and while it will slow (simply because...

    Roundabout question

Looks about right then grumpy. I was guessign a bit of course. I still think it shows the exit past 12 o' clock so wouldn't consider it to be straight over in the left lane personally. As I said, one near me is similar but has a three lane approach so it isn't that difficult to work out...

    Roundabout question

Just google imaged this. As you approach the roundabout, the OP's exit (3) is marked as being to the right on the signs. To me, the other driver should have exited at the second exit so the OP for me is in the right here http://goo.gl/maps/cj7ZH

    Roundabout question

Roundabout near me has three lanes as you approach off the motorway slip. Two of them have the same road number. The first exit for this road is well past 12 o'clock but is marked as the middle lane of the three so you effectively go round the left side of the round about (passing the obvious...

Sheppey Crossing Crash - 130 Vehicles involved

And of course Colin McRae's "if in doubt... flat out" I suspect absolutely everyone involved with this though, expect those in the initial incident and the ones at the very back will say they stopped in time.....

    Another Paypal/ Ebay scam.

Yes - unfortunately they work. That's the sad thing about all these scams. If they didn't work, they wouldn't bother but they do. Anyways, I was amazed he actually engaged with me. would have known I was only wasting him time but carried on regardless

    Another Paypal/ Ebay scam.

I had them. I kept then on for half an hour banging on about the data protection act and how did Microsoft know what was on my computer etc etc Great chat. Hopefully cost him a bit from whatever foreign country he was in.

    50:50?

Vote for 50/50 whilst he is ont he wrong side of the road, your initial post says you looked right but not left. Given he is already there, you technically pull out in front of him as I am sure he would have priority otherwise. again, no injury and that's as I see it. anything more serious...
