Just noticed yesterday that the fluid reservoir was empty! Down to Mercedes and £12 later, poured a litre in, went home and later looking out at the car, noticed an oil slick on the road at the front. Moved the car forward and felt the fluid on the road and it was the hydraulic fluid, bonnet up...

I need to replace the windscreen scuttle panels, (I think that's what they're called) - the plastic panels at the bottom of the windscreen. Anyone know where I could buy these?

I have a burnt out heater blower motor resistor - part no. 1248202710, originally made by Hella. I can get one from Mercedes via Germany but it will take a few weeks and cost £332!! Anyone out there know where i could locate one, not necessarily new?

Car runs well except for noisy fuel pump, so needs replacing. Bodywork is good for 25 years old, no rust. MOT until November. Everything works. OFFERS?

I just had the same problem on my 124 and had to replace both, for the reason Grober stated. My local mechanic advised buying Merc springs. His philosophy being that you don't go 'pattern' for important bits.
