S-Class W221 ABS and ESP currently unavailable.

Until you get error codes read with Star it's anyones guess - but wheel speed sensor/ring or abs control module would be my guess. Need to read codes

    Shake Under Braking Diagnosis mystery

As above - uneven deposits of brake pad material is the most common cause of brake judder. Just need to remember not to stop completely after few hard stops from 70mph to 20mph, as this will deposit brake pad material in one spot - but drive for a bit without stopping to let the brakes cool...

W124 E500 - but is it one of the rare 6.0s??

Genuine e60's had option code - 957 - AMG Technology Package that says that it's an e60. There's no option code for AMG body kit. I'm pretty sure AMG didn't offer AMG bodykits on e60, except maybe in Japan There are 4 for sale at mobile.de at the moment - all of them with normal E500 bumpers so...

W124 E500 - but is it one of the rare 6.0s??

The 6.0 engines are stamped AMG 60 near the thermostat housing, I think the airbox should have AMG lettering on as well. As Dash said only few e60's came with amg bodykits from the factory so that's not an indication. It is still a limited - 1 of 500 so has some value depending on condition...

    Any Sunday Cleans?

I gave my Van a wash, no photos, was too dark outside when finished anyway. I used to go to carwashes once in a while, but since I started using the rainwater from a butt it's much easier - no spots

Nice W212 E350 cdi for sale

Hello. Thought I'd put this up here - my brother is selling his w212 e350 cdi. Very well kept, has had new glow-plugs + relay last year, new thermostat and temp sensor, new zimmerman brake discs + pads all around just recently. Drives lovely and reasonable mileage - he's asking £6500...

W202 C180 Failed Emissions Test - Lambda or MAF?

I would bet on MAF reading the symptoms, when lambda sensor goes it's not that noticable, just more thirsty usually. Maybe first try cleaning the maf - quite an easy task plenty of instructions online.

    Any boxing fans here?

Just look at Usyk's last fight - wbss final againts Gassiev who is widely regarded as the heaviest puncher in cruiserweights - couldn't get near usyk, as usyk was throwing jabs and moving around the ring like a lightweight even in round 12.

    R129 300sl 1991 Starting and running issues

Hi. I would check cold start injector is working properly, sensor plate/plunger is moving freely, idle air valve is not sticky.

Another vote for Michelin Pilot Sport 4, great tyre, very quiet for 275 wide tyres - i have the acoustic version

    Newly painted car advice

I've heard you shouldn't wax/seal the paint for a month or so, to allow voc gasses to escape fully, not sure if that's a fact or fiction.

Do you believe in time travel?

Noise reduced tyre with foam absorber

I have michelin ps4's with this acoustic foam. They do seem quieter on rough surface at motorway speeds - at least compared to pzero's I had before. Only downside I can imagine is with puncture repair.

    White grout

I only use mapei ultracolor grouts - very smooth finish compared to some and dries fast

    W140 pictures

Lovely beast. The grey ring is a sort of rubber part/seal around the actual sensor iirc. I think 1995 might have been when they replaced the extending poles with pdc

    W124 M104 idle issues

Loom would be the first thing to check. It MUST be perished if it's indeed original.

Bit of a long shot but...

Another vote for 4.2tdi, I drive D4 4.2 tdi and sometimes even I forget it's a diesel, it's so refined and then there's that torque. Very good on fuel compared to w12, maybe not as smooth, especially at idle. I don't get why there's no V8 diesel in the S-class.
