Nooo. Leave it alone. It may look a little dull, but if it's anything like mine it's rattle free and beautifully put together. Puts my E class to shame it really does. Plastering it with wood or (whisper it) carbon fibre will make it look as tacky as a modded Corsa. Just my opinion ;)

Since I've had my E I've been to 2 dealers. Both were excellent. My local dealer bends over backwards to help and offered me a lot of advice when I was looking to get my 190, for nothing in return. There's always going to be some bad dealers whatever make of car you get (unless it's Alfa...

Have you tried shopping around dealers. There's a lot of profit to be made on Breakdown insurance so you might well find a dealer prepared to forget about the inspection as long as you have FMBSH.
