    1992 190E 1.8 AUTO, 46,255 Miles

Since the car has now sat unused for a further eight years since I placed the original advert, I think it best to anticipate the new owner will plunder it for spares. I imagine it might very likely now take a lot of work, parts and expense to make the engine start once more. Thank you so much to...

    What Motors Have You Owned?

My turn! Dec 2009: 2000 BMW 330i Touring, Titan silver. Clutch like an articulated truck, everyone who borrowed it stalled it! (Wickedly fast in 1st gear though - as a new driver I once foolishly pulled out of a side road in front of a van and then realised what I'd done. Stopping would mean...

Memory Lane Test: Operation Julie, 1978, LSD distribution, Trial at Bristol . . .

Absolutely excellent lead - thankyou! Should anybody else be searching and stumble upon this thread the citation is R v Cuthbertson [1980] 2 All ER 401. There were several defendants named in the article I came across, but my search was made harder as Cuthbertson wasn't mentioned.

Memory Lane Test: Operation Julie, 1978, LSD distribution, Trial at Bristol . . .

Hi all! I'm currently writing a dissertation on civil recovery and have seen mention of a legal case I'd like to read. Unusually, I don't have a case citation - all I have is that a House of Lords decision (following on from the Operation Julie LSD case of 1978) held that £750,000 of seized...

    Mad man in Sussex

Welcome fellow Sussexonian! I tried a 3.0 S-Type at Caffyns Eastbourne in about 2003. I thought the engine worked hard at times and I really needed the 4.2 V8 version. Sadly, too rich for me so I came away with neither! We'd all love to see a piccie!

I feel robbed by oil price. W204 200CDI

I sympathise! It used to annoy me no end when I received a bill for topping-up the windscreen washer bottle at every Mercedes service. I made a point of brimming the bottle so you couldn't get another drop in, but every year the bill included screen wash. Thankfully, I'm no longer captive to...

more problems with this e55k amg. (diff)

Does it feel and sound a bit like you're running over a gentle cattle grid? If so, my Range Rover did this for a couple of years and it required a torque convertor overhaul. Like with your problem, my grumbly also stopped immediately on lifting off the throttle - I also learned to drive outside...

Anyone on here sell cars for a main dealership like Mercedes?

There was a huge multi-page post on that other car forum "Peas to Ned's" if I'm permitted to mention other places. It was along the lines of "what have you been up to in the dealership today" so should give you a good taste of what they get up to!

    What have I bought please?

Range Rovers are fabulous. When my mechanic brings mine home after its service or MOT and I see it tootling towards me from the opposite side of our village, the only word that comes to mind is 'majestic'. But, sadly, there are so many delicious cars in the world and so little time. So, like...

Feelers Now out: Seeking E500 Estate

I'd rather fallen in love with the inky blue exterior and cheery light grey interior of this one: <http://tinyurl.com/krfdwtq> Sadly, it has just been sold but its such a classy looking example I thought I'd share it with everyone anyway. Steven
